Mission Statement

The mission of the Kansas State Association of Fire Chiefs is to provide the chief fire officers and managers of emergency services in Kansas with a forum to discuss issues and dispense information applicable to life safety and property conservation, and to provide education, services and representation to enhance the professionalism and capabilities of the fire service.

Membership Types, Eligibility, & Dues

Membership is open to current and retired fire service officers, others, and businesses who are interested in the objectives of KSAFC.

Active Member
Any administrative officer, above the rank of Captain, in any recognized fire department or fire brigade in the State of Kansas.

An Active member who becomes ineligible as a result of department consolidation or source of eligibility, with another organization, may maintain his/her active membership as long as he/she remains in the department or organization resulting from such consolidation.

Associate Member
Any person who is ineligible for Active membership but who is interested in the objectives of this Organization may become an Associate member and shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Organization except those of voting and holding office.

Sustaining Member
Any business concern that is interested in the objectives of the Organization may become a Sustaining member and shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Organization except those of voting and holding office.

Membership Dues

Dues paid by any new member after the first day of October of any year shall apply to the remainder of that year and the entire following year.

Associate $20.00
Sustaining $25.00


Membership Records & Renewals

Each member is responsible for maintaining accurate contact information in his/her membership record.  A member may use the on line form in the Members Only section to notify KSAFC of member record information updates, send an email, or call with updates.

Membership renewal notices are distributed in October for the new membership year either by U.S. Mail or email notification and dues are expected by the end of January of new membership year.

If renewing through your department, please provide your individual renewal form or new member application to the person coordinating renewals (and dues payment) so it can be included in the mailing to KSAFC.
